Ask anyone who follows golf about a handsome 5-foot 10-inch Spanish playboy who has earned close to US$22 million playing golf and currently ranks 14 in career earnings on the PGA Tour, and they will surely point a finger in the direction of Sergio Garcia.

Yes, El Nino, is the man. Adam Scott once described him as "the biggest flirt and the biggest ladykiller on the tour." Other fellow professionals acknowledged that he somewhat spoiled and certainly temperamental, but he also has that natural rhythm that allows him to date beautiful women and his hunger for fun are usually in fast cars.

When he is not driving his Ferrari 360 Modena he can be seen in his Jaguar XJR. His past romantic partners include actress Jessica Alba, model Nikki Novak and tennis great Martina Hingis, and his most recent dating headlines had Greg Norman's 25-year-old daughter Morgan-Leigh at his side.

He has said in interviews that he is not much of a reader, then adds: "But, I do love watching all kind of sports. If I was playing at 2:20 p.m., I would wake up at 7:30 a.m. to watch the Formula 1, or to watch qualifying, and I just love it. I love watching sports, and I love watching golf."

Garcia began playing golf at the age of three after watching and following his father, Vitor, practice. After a glittering amateur career he turned professional while a teenager in 1999. At the age of twelve, he won his first club championship and at 16 years of age, he set a record by being the youngest player to make the cut at a European Tour event in the 1995, at the Turespana Open Mediterranea. In 1998, he won the British Amateur title.

The golf world opened to him when he fired the lowest amateur score in the 1999 US Masters. That stunning performance was closely followed by an even more stunning event - a duel with Tiger Woods at the 1999 PGA Championship.
